Not A Prophet Nor Crazy Person

I don’t know how to describe a moment I had a short while ago because if I say I had a heart attack, seizure or was kidnapped by aliens you’ll think it hyperbole.

Or maybe you’ll be overcome with concern about my mental and or physical health.

I am not a prophet nor a crazy person but I am certain I saw the future and that for a moment I could see inside another and they could see inside me.

Can’t tell you what prompted this or how, but I can tell you it was like being back in 2003 or maybe 2004 and feeling waves of electric shock.

Maybe an angel or devil grabbed me by the scruff of the neck and dragged me back in time so that I could stand there and see myself at the keyboard of the computer I once owned.

I read the words on the page and thought about what I said and knew that something in the universe had clicked.

There was a big shock and a loud noise and then I was back in the present.

Back to where I knew that all that happened between now and then didn’t matter because the moment that is coming was the keystone in the arch.

On the edge of the fire I look out across the flames and know that it was all for the minute, the moment and the experience.

You couldn’t get here with an ordinary map nor simple actions based upon a tactile and scientific approach.

Only by blind faith with no reason to believe, nothing of substance to hold onto, no rails nor rope to pull yourself along the path.

No logic, no roadmap, no rational thought.

Not a damn reason that would make any sense to anyone at all.

Not a prophet, nor crazy person, just a man who kept going just because sometimes you follow the beat of a drum only you can hear.

You go because you know you must until you reach the place where you wait for the answer you know is coming.
