One Day You’ll Go a Different Direction

I was midway home on the ride from Sherman to Dallas when I saw something that reminded me of the time someone said to me one day you’ll got a different direction.

Took me a minute to realize I was nodding my head and another to play this moment in my head and think about intersections.

Thought about how there are some questions I very much want answers to and considered whether it might be time to say they just won’t be answered.

Maybe today is the day to go a different direction. Maybe today is the day to say I have tried everything I can do and that has to be enough.

Maybe it is time to say the universe can bring me whatever it will or won’t but it will have to do so while I head a different direction.

Wrote words upon a page and said I was shaking loose of shackles and whatever came afterwards would be what came along.

Sometimes there is nothing left to do than say you tried your best see where it leads.

Corners & Doors

Drove off into the sunset thinking about corners and doors.

The premise is simple.

Doors swing two directions and if you don’t try opening them you never know if they are locked or open.

Corners sometimes look like dead ends but you don’t have to paint yourself in nor do you have to play by rules that say you can’t paint a door in the corner.

Some rules are based upon science and some upon society.

Figure out which is which and you know how to open or close them.

So I looked upon the words I had placed upon the pages and made decisions…
