It’s Write…For You

A variety of things pushed me to remind myself of the words of Marcus Aurelius and somehow I suspect it is useful for you too.

I told you, it is write for you and so I am or so I did and if you so choose you can read those words.

You probably won’t be surprised by the content but you might appreciate how the words paint a picture and frame an idea.

It is the kind of idea that is best discussed in person so that it moves from the hypothetical to the practical application.

Why?

Because a couple of decades of questions require answers and when destiny is calling you ignore it at your own peril.

That doesn’t mean there will be physical death and destruction but there may be the kind that leads you one day to reminisce about a red headed boy and what could have been.

Or maybe not, I am but a simple man who places words upon a page.

Perhaps some can see and or find a deeper meaning because these words touch places that aren’t ordinarily reached.

Perhaps not.

The 150 Mile Day

Got an unexpected call that required a quick trip out to Garland and then out to White Settlement before the return home.

It was about as effective as one could ask as I didn’t have to exit the car to pick up the package and the drop off was quite similar.

I stepped out of the vehicle, strode four feet and put my hand through the open window of a full size pick up and placed it upon the seat.

“Don’t use a drill to install this. Don’t over torque it, use a Phillips by hand.”

He nodded his head and I laughed because somewhere Dad sighed deeply and said “he finally learned to be gentle.”

****

The 43 miles home provided ample time to let myself get lost in thought about nothing and to just zone out…which I did for a while.

But two calls came through and I used 25 minutes to listen to more of Peril and considered what I heard and choices for the future.

Thought I heard Placido Domingo and John Denver singing and then nothing but the echoes of the future filled my head.

Changes are almost…here.
