You Slurped It All Up

Heaven and earth moved, the angels applauded and then the devil got between us…again.

Some men don’t quit when the going gets tough and the complex gets complicated.

They just move forward, always forward and laugh when people don’t respond to compliments because they hear the damn bells and know things.

Anyhoo, some fires burn brighter and just when you think they have failed and faded they fool you and roar back to life.

Or so I read in J&J tea leaves and were I a smarter man I wouldn’t mention it.

Except sometimes the unfiltered fellow comes out like the time I turned to someone at a restaurant and said “you slurped it all up.”

Made a few fans and a few less than fans. 🙂

Writing The Night Away

Sometimes you get a little silly because your dog isn’t the only to get a serious bonus.

Always nice to be in a position where you feel flush but damn if it wouldn’t feel far nicer to win the lottery and be working because you want to.

Sing along with Robert and think about how you avoided that gallows pole. Could celebrate with a soda or by buying someone a soda.

Always good to give back in some way or another.

Kind of hard to believe things are where and as they are because there is such a mix.

There is the part that is best described as Fucking Amazing and the other as What The Fuckety Fuck.

Some of you have said you are put off by people swearing in blog posts unless it fits the character.

Well some people call me a character and colorful language suits me and my character. 🙂

Some evenings you write the night away because you have to get things out and sometimes it is because you have something to say.

Ideally the latter is always true when you write but there are times where it might not be.

Moments where the quality of your prose sinks to depths reserved for others who care not about the infamous stench caused by their redolent ridiculousness.

Too sweet to be taken seriously is just as bad too sour to sing.

So here we are, finally in Fall watching Summer ride off into the sunset with an eye towards that bastard winter.

Can’t say I am excited about either but I am excited about some of the changes and opportunities I see coming.

Took lots of work and more than a little determination to get it to this point where I can breathe as freely and feel like I just might have found my moment again.

Ask yourself where all the lonely people come from and if Father Mackenzie cares.

All the lonely people, we know where they belong.
