Thought about making this one of those stories in which the scenes flip back and forth.
Something like “you kissed me first and made me promise never to let go” followed by a business scene in which an announcement is made that makes heads spin.
If you want to put that in a modern setting you can say it happened on screen and all were given a chance to see the dumbfounded looks of most people.
Add a series of telephone calls in which there was a mad scramble to figure out what just happened and anyone knew something they could share.
“Have you heard anything? Did any of your contacts say anything? How can you add head count and simultaneously lose it.”
Flash back to the couple remembering and hear the man say “you only think you’re the boss” and let the viewers wonder if that was in reference to the woman or the business.
Tapping On The Keyboard
Flash to someone driving while George Harrison plays in the background and let the people see the car pass through a residential neighborhood towards an airport.
Maybe move to Helen Reddy singing I Am Woman and make sure you never show the hands or face of the driver.
Add Love Grows and play until the car parks at a destination we can’t see but suspect will provide details about the person and or people we suspect might be the stars of this piece.
****
Suppose I could write more here and flesh the details out a bit without too much effort because all I am doing is tapping on the keyboard and that requires limited effort.
Don’t have the skills and talent others do but have enough to weave a tale or two cuz rubbing sticks and stones together makes the sparks ignite or so they say.
Some say lend me your ears and some lend my your lips or some such nonsense like that.
Yeah, I could go on here but I am distracted and my brain is moving puzzle pieces back and forth, trying to suss out what happened earlier and the impact it may or may not have.
Should turn my brain off and let it rest but am not quite ready nor willing to do it. ‘Cuz sometimes you know that you’re this close to calling out Bingo and stopping isn’t going to help.
Not going to clear your head and eliminate the answers that aren’t quite right any faster than wiping out the ones that are clearly wrong.
Work the problem. Pull apart the pieces in a logical and systematic action and you’ll get to the finish line.
