A Story For You

Made a comment about writing for someone and when they asked where to find it I said they’d know where to go. Don’t think they went to see it but figured they get to it eventually.

Got an email from an agency overseas asking if I would consider a paid collaboration with them and said I am open to opportunities and to hit me up with something.

Thought about the days when I did more of that and how the agencies tried to measure the return-on-their investment and how they might do it now.

I think there are fewer people following than ever before but am not sure because I don’t focus on that the way I used to.

Certainly write differently than I once did for a variety of reasons not the least of which is I don’t put any effort into trying to grow the blog or capture more readers.

Sometimes I wonder if I should and if I could force myself to adjust these random musings and focus on topics that generate wider interest.

Hard to consider on a night in which I am feeling frustrated about a few things but not impossible to adjust…maybe.

Hadn’t had much in the way of side effects from the Moderna shot but clearly my patience and attitude have been impacted by the past 12 months.

Should We Call You Rudy?

Upon occasion I have wondered if Rudyard was called Rudy by friends or family but haven’t ever tried to investigate it.

Never have known a Rudyard in real life, at least as far as I know.

What I know for certain is his quote is accurate and I have lived the moments that prove it. The challenge is in discerning when it is not true as I have lived the moments that proved that sometimes my fears were valid.

My heart aches a bit now for a variety of reasons and I am uncertain if my ideas and discernment of said ideas falls under the broader definition and description Rudy laid out or not.

HBO Max has an agreement with Warner Brothers to release new movies on the same day as they come out in theaters.

Though I love going to see a motion picture on the big screen I have refrained from doing so during the pandemic so this agreement suits me.

The first film I saw was Wonder Woman 1984 and it was a debacle and nightmare of a film. They managed to fail on a large scale and I was grateful not to have paid for tickets and popcorn.

This afternoon I watched The Little Things with Denzel Washington and Rami Malek and enjoyed it quite a bit.

It was also nice to see shots of home and to try to place where some of it took place. Some of it was easy to identify and some just looked familiar but it was nice to see.

Been 18 months since I was last in LA and I sometimes remind myself that those who have been called to serve have gone as long or longer without seeing friends and family.

And let’s not forget no one has been shooting at me during this time so though it has been challenging and worn me down a bit it hasn’t been anything close to war for me.

I am grateful for that and cognizant I have done better than many.

Given personal experience of the hell it has unleashed on others I am aware of the luck and blessings bestowed upon me.

Certainly doing what I can to maintain and keep it going.

Visions Of A Future

Got visions of a future inside my head. Got to get to New Zealand, Australia, Scandinavia and Scotland.

Got to look up a company called Jewson and find out the history behind the name. Got to get past a couple of other things and get serious about others.

Got to do quite a bit and do it in limited time.

Hope isn’t a strategy but sometimes it is what keeps us going.
