The Man Handler

I cannot confirm nor deny that I have sipped, gulped or swallowed down any alcoholic beverage(s) tonight or that I looked at a picture and remembered someone saying they wanted to be manhandled.

But I can confirm this song is playing right now and I am thinking about things I might not write about…here.

It is far more entertaining than thinking about the garbage disposal I fixed tonight or the other home repairs I took care of.

Too bad the man I called father isn’t around, he would have enjoyed this and understood when I told him how much I enjoy working with my hands.

He also would have understood why I sometimes choose to pay others to do work I can do myself.

It is not because I can’t do it but because those who do certain things with regularity are often better at doing them than those who do not.

I have seen more than one door that some DIYer hung…poorly.

Vacation Time

I hit the wall this week and am so…damn…glad for the time off I am taking.

It is not a question of if I need it but why I waited as long as I did because sometimes grinding it out doesn’t serve you as well as taking a day or two for yourself.

So now if all goes as I hope and plan I will decompress and the net result won’t just be a kinder, gentler Josh but one who is significantly more productive.

That is a good thing for family, friends and me.

Because I have reached a place and a point in which something has to be done or other stuff will go down and it is better to have a plan for such things than to do it because you have reached the end of your rope.

Got to run now folks, got more writing to do and I don’t think I’ll do it here, but first it is time for a refill and a pause while I turn off the alarm because I am not waking up to that tomorrow.

Can’t guarantee the dog, nature or other things won’t wake me up early, but at least it won’t be that electronic ding-a-ling.
