What if you were told you lacked the ability to be a writer and your attempts at romance were inferior?
Would you accept what you were fed because the critic had a title and “experience” or would you keep going.
The lack of question marks is intentional because in this story there is no question of whether to continue or quit.
No reason to give up because our opinion of writing is subjective and not all will appreciate it.
The metrics we might use to measure aren’t going to account for the intangibles.
It’s akin to measuring love. You can’t do it.
Got a few follow up thoughts from the flotsam and jetsam of the other day. I can’t explain how or why some things happen because they just are.
Can’t tell you in scientific terms that are based upon logic, reason or the laws of physics.
Some things are and that is just what it is.
So I tell some people you can accept those things, fight them or run from them but it doesn’t change anything.
They just are.
And maybe that is the best reason not to get involved with them because if it just is you don’t know what will happen if you touch it and you don’t know what will happen if you don’t.
Maybe that is the best reason to just let things lie and maybe it is not.
I can’t answer for all, but I know for some that adventurer’s spirit requires pushing ahead and figuring out that which you can so that you can accept that which you can’t.
