Gather close around the fire and I’ll tell you about 50 ways to break a blog and maybe confess that I almost picked up my computer and threw it…a few minutes ago.
It wasn’t this one but it probably will be soon but not before I finish working on the other because I am smart enough to work on fixing one before I take on another.
Ok, I lied, I have been known to take on more than one challenge at a time but this moment, this Thursday I can promise you I haven’t yet done so.
You never know what this guy will do which is why some people remind him not to go to restaurants because the crazy space pirate just might and people would be sad if something happened to him.
Anyhoo, as I was my doing my 3 miles earlier I heard this song and noticed a neighbor pull the shades shut.
I thought I had a couple of quotes tagged story but accidentally typed in ‘stoy’ and this quote showed up so I chose to use it.
People ask how a blog breaks and if any effort is put into it. My blogs sometimes break when plugins go haywire but more often it is because of human error.
It is because some goofy dude tries to tweak it so that it does a better job of telling a story.
Ok, the blog doesn’t necessarily tell the story but it helps provide a foundation for doing so. That might involve setting up a page with nothing but text or one in which pictures and videos can be interjected.
Sometimes the story it is supposed to tell is how to join a group be it on Facebook or some other social media platform.
Purposes and reasons vary but the ultimate goal is always for the blog to serve as a platform that enhances and doesn’t take away from the posts.
I suppose it is fair to say I don’t mind experimenting and testing things out which is sometimes how and why things go awry.
It is certainly part of what happened earlier and now I have to figure out how to correct the mistake and or reset things.
I managed to do it before but for some reason the comments in old posts disappeared. Part of me doesn’t care about that because I don’t need to use them as social proof.
And more importantly I can go back and still see what was written, but then again some of those comments tell a story too.
Some posts came from comments and without those comments showing context may be missing so now I have to figure out whether I need to fix it.
Could grow up and be a baseball or a butterfly. Could be a pro basketball player, a writer or left fielder for the Dodgers.
Could be and do a lot of things, now if only I can be and do the thing that provides the knowledge that fix the damn code.
