When The SQ Came Back-2021 Edition

If I told you the Magic 8 Ball foretold when the SQ came back at the tail end of 2021 you wouldn’t believe it.

But I’d say get back to where you once belong and you’d know the Fab Four were onto something.

Maybe it is because of what was contained in You’ll Miss Me When I Am Gone or because destiny calls and some of us answer because we cannot not do so.

Hell, it could be as simple as some people discover that years of eating liver and herring require a mouthful of ketchup or something unrelated.

Don’t ask me to explain what you can’t understand or describe why those who build walls turn around and head back for the secret kingdom. It may seem inconceivable but it is not.

It is just the chaos and cacophony of the crazy moments of life responding to harmonic rhythms that can’t be seen but are felt…no matter how hard people fight against them.

Welcome To The Jungle

Got myself swinging on vine like George of the Jungle when I hear someone ask me a series of questions:

“Do, don’t you want me to love you
I’m coming down fast but I’m miles above you
Tell me, tell me, tell me, come on tell me the answer” to which I respond

“Well, you may be a lover but you ain’t no dancer.”

No one hears me mutter “she’s coming down fast” because no one believes it, least of all me except I better.

I know things and that is why some call me crazy or a freak but so it goes.

****

Unexpected bills from my health insurance provider sit next to my computer with notes reminding me to follow up on the disputed claims…again.

Got messages on my voicemail asking for explanations on how I pulled a few things off. Already sent a response to one saying when understand how to tear down walls by hand and aren’t afraid to fail all things are possible.

“You don’t do well with complexity. Let it go.”

“No, you’re projecting your weakness and your fear on me. I don’t have a problem with complexity, the system does and that doesn’t mean I can’t make it happen. It just takes some thought and a willingness to grind some of this out. I am better at grinding than you know. Step aside.”

The words aren’t handled well but that is not an issue for me. They’re trying to break me and that makes me see red.

I’ll take the beating until they tire of it and keep pressing forward. They’ll tire before I do. We have been down this path and I already know his game.

Changing Of Sunlight To Moonlight

Don’t ask me to explain what you don’t want to hear answered and don’t ask me to describe what you refuse to see.

Rolling down 35 on the way to Austin with 38 Special singing Hold On Loosely and this sense that you remember from somewhere around the Fall of ’87 or ’88.

Changes aren’t coming, they are happening at a pace that makes you want to wrap your arms around a tree or anything fixed in earth, stone or concrete because it is moving too quick.

Blink once and a chunk of years have passed.

Blink twice and another chunk have come and gone and that which held you back no longer does though you could let fear say otherwise.

Can’t be like Sam I Am and refuse to eat on plane, bus or train for reasons no better than just because.

Look up at blue skies and smile at the green that hasn’t yet turned brown and disappeared under Winter’s gaze.

Got every reason to doubt what you know and every reason to know what you doubt isn’t contingent upon logic or reason.

Accept and submit what signs have been sent from sages and run under the gaze of silent and compassionate moon.

Ain’t it good to be alive.
