The Thick & Meaty

Something from this piece here has occupied my thoughts on and off but I am not ready to share it on the open web.

Took another step today on the road to change and changes and am curious to see where this leads and if it is going to pan out as I hope and suspect.

Told a girl destiny might be more real than she believed and wondered if she heard it because I said it in a dream.

Still I felt her think about me and heard me remind her that when she thinks of me I might be thinking of her.

Dreams are funny things as you don’t know if what you hear, see and say are based upon some deep inner psychological need or some random encounter from some other event in your life.

We want to think there is a deeper meeting but who is to say that what caused you brain to pop isn’t as simple as a partial memory of the guy who cut you off at Hampshire Coventry Court.

Could be nothing but a fragment floating around inside that just made its way to the surface.

What Did He Say?

I thought he said we ought to raise a toast to the thick and meaty but someone else said I was wrong claiming the speaker said sick and needy.

Neither one make much sense to me, especially the latter because it seems peculiar to toast the sick and needy.

If you said you wanted to help them I would nod my head because that is sensible to me, but toasting them, nah…not so much.

Especially today when the house elves have mutinied and declared their displeasure with me by trying to crack open my skull with a claw hammer interspersed with the occasional attempt with a rusty spoon.

Neither one are particularly comfortable or prone to making me inclined to give them what they wish.

Hell, I quoted the Princess Bride and said life is pain but that didn’t motivated them to stop nor did telling them my heart has ached for longer than they know.

But hell, I tried and that is more than most and I can live with failure because it is not permanent and it is a useful learning tool.

Painful, but useful.

Anyhoo, somehow found myself with one of the new vehicles I had threatened to acquire and have to finish moving the tools and assorted crap from the old vehicle to the new one.

Well, some of it that is because not all of it gets to move from the one to the other. It is time to shake some things loose, maybe some people too.

Spring cleaning has some merit.
