I Knocked On The Door

Brother Pablo asked me if I stumbled upon the email or if I went looking for it.

“It wasn’t what I was looking for, but it is what I found. I knocked on the door and opened it without waiting to see what kind of answer I would get.

You might say I expected silence and instead I found echoes and a ghost that beckoned me into the room. Walked in and read what was on the desk and felt the flame that had been flickering start burning…hard.”

Brother Pablo watched as I said I couldn’t decide if it was fate, curse, luck or stupidity.

He just smiled and turned on some music.

“Why Brother Pablo, I do believe you are pushing me for a comment or answer to things I cannot provide.”

He laughed and said to look inwards and I would find what I needed.

Break The Code

“Brother Pablo, the way forward is blocked and barred and I cannot gain entrance doing as I have done.”

“So what is it you shall do?”

“I shall write a damn letter and leave it to be found and then I shall walk out of the castle and go wherever my heart would take me.”

Brother Pablo smiled and nodded his head.

“The time is anon and soon you shall know what you need to know and you will do what is right for you. You will climb the mountains, swim the seas and move the earth to gain the answers for that is your blessing and your curse.”

I shook my head and asked if that isn’t a bit extreme.

“What is more extreme than love and dumber than affairs of the heart. Nothing.

It is the best and the worst.

The easiest and the hardest.

Some truths are never forgotten even as those that know them pretend to forget.”
