When You Think About Me

When you think of me I might be thinking about me it is possible I might be thinking about you.

Maybe one of these songs is playing inside my head or maybe not. Could be this one or this one too.

My ornery side might be activated and my focus might be elsewhere because my one track mind still has moments where it moves at light speed and I get lost in my own secret world.

Lost in the moment and though I might find my way back to the secret garden if I see the castle drawbridge is raised up I might wander elsewhere.

Could say it is because I know some walls are no sturdier than Jericho and I can manage those with my own hands.
Time moves as it will and without interruption or interaction from people even if we explore questions like What Stories Do Old Emails Tell?

He Is Right

Been writing more than I usually do and thinking about things I don’t often think about ‘cuz things are troubling me and there are benefits to opening the mind wider.

I see the end of some things coming and the beginning of others.

There is a desperate need growing for my own office and space in which I don’t have to play Lord Of The Manor.

Some seem oblivious to the smoke rising from behind my ears and the flames in my eyes which makes me wonder if they are anxious to call down the thunder.

It is not something I have a particular interest especially because when the storm arrives there will be an impact felt long after it has passed.

Perhaps they are blind to the signs the universe flashes or maybe it is me. Maybe I am blind and I am the one with the issue.

Could be me, could be me.

****

Staring out a window at a night the weather app says is 28 but feels like 18 thinking about how to fix some of the bigger mistakes I have made.

Don’t have to act like a tree and pretend I am rooted to one place. Don’t have to keep my focus on one future or even two.

Can listen to Downtown Train here or in some forest staring at the Northern Lights in between writing the books that haven’t been written and while working on theories.

Can play games of hyperbole and hypothesis and beat the demons real and imaginary.

Don’t have to live by the rules of others when they can be challenged or changed by another.

One minute, one moment and one day at a time.
