“Congratulations, you got me. You made me physically ill.”
It is said through clenched teeth but not where the person who ought to hear it can do so because there is no point in sharing that.
They won’t understand, appreciate or be concerned by it and will likely see it as weakness so it will be met with something else and turned around.
Echoes of the past bring out Life’s rough all over and an understanding there are no good options but it won’t stop moments of thinking of some.
A brief thought about climbing onto the roof, screaming and then jumping off is met with the hard truth, “you can’t fly.”
“Dammit, guess I better not try it.”
Moves & Countermoves

Just A Little Hope
It is all you need sometimes, just a little hope and a flash of sunshine.
Just a little hope that if you walk the damn line a little bit longer and go a little bit farther you’ll get there.
Don’t need to follow the Yellow Brick Road to know the wizard is only a man or to understand the limits a man places on others and himself can be extended or adjusted.
Just got to take one more step and dig one more yard and maybe you’ll find the words and the way forward.
