Had a moment where someone insulted my singing and said it sucks and I restrained myself from giving an appropriate answer mostly because I am sure they read between the lines.
It was one of those funny days in which I woke up knowing it was a dream but damn it had felt so very real.
If it was a movie I might have had a moment on camera in which I asked if I always wake up wondering “where you are” and then comes that moment of realization.
Or maybe it would have been said in a different and more direct way, who knows. That full moon that is coming tomorrow is definitely having an impact, now isn’t it.
I Hear Truth
Springsteen has done it again, I hear truth and I replay the song to listen to the gospel again.
Grabbed my pen and bowed my head
Tried to summon all that my heart finds true
And send it in my letter to you
and
I took all the sunshine and rain
All my happiness and all my pain
The dark evening stars
And the morning sky of blue
And I sent it in my letter to you
The wisdom of age and experience reaches across time and space like a North Star you can’t ever see but always sense and can recognize by touch.
The sense of ache and of union moves from what was, to what is and what could be taking you on a journey you might not choose to go on but cannot avoid.
And just when you think you have had enough and won’t do it again something touches you and you smile and jump back into the fire or the boat and go back because the adventure isn’t over.
There are seas to sail and roads that must be explored and you don’t care who knows or doesn’t know because sometimes the song of your heart sings louder and stronger than any other.
